3.  Protector Magazine


1)  Application

Protector magazine is used for holding gas discharge tubes (arresters).  To fit gas discharge tubes (arresters) in a protector magazine and then to insert the protector magazine in IDC termination module mounted in back mount frame to protect the network against over-voltage.


2)  Type Classification

a) 10-pair protector magazine (as the left photo below) and 8-pair protector magazine ( as the right photo below) are available, which are respectively fitted in 10-pair termination module and 8-pair termination module.

b) Protector magazines for holding 3-pole gas discharge tubes (as the left photo below) and protector magazine for 2-pole gas discharging tubes (as the right photo below) are available.

3)  Materials

a) Plastic Parts: flame-retardant ABS which conforms to GB4609/FV-0 grade (or UL94 V-0);
b) Metal Parts: bronze with silver plating.

4)  Electrical Properties

Insulation Resistance: more than 1,000Mohm
