1.  IDC Termination Module

1)  Application

IDC termination modules, with the insulation displacement technique, are widely used for termination and patching of wires in DP boxes, cross connection cabinets, main distribution frames (MDF), etc.

2)  Pair Number

According to pair numbers, the IDC termination modules are classified into:
a) 10-pair Module: dimension (approximate): 123Wx20Hx40D (mm);

b) 8-pair Module: dimension (approximate): 103Wx20Hx40D (mm);

c) 5-pair Module: dimension (approximate): 73Wx20Hx31D (mm).

3)  Contact Type

According to contact types, the IDC termination modules are classified into:
a) Disconnection Module: normally-closed circuits, but can be disconnected by inserting a Disconnection Plug and can be tested on line by inserting a Test Plug;
b) Connection Module: continuous connection circuits, which can not be disconnected;
c) Switching Module: normally-opened circuits used for high density termination and patching.

4)  Mounting Style

According to contact types, the IDC termination modules are classified into:
a)  Module for back mount frame mounting;
b)  Module for back rod frame mounting (only 10 paris module)

5)  Materials

a) Plastic Parts: flame-retardant ABS or PBT ( conforming to GB4609/FV-0 grade or UL94V-0 );
b) Metal Terminals: bronze with silver-plating.

6)  Mechanical Properties

a) Pull-off Force: more than 25 N ( vertical to slot );
b) Suggested External Diameter of Terminated Wire: less than 1.40 mm;
c) Suggested Conductor diameter of Terminated Wire: 0.40 mm ~ 0.65 mm;
d) Frequency of Connection Operations: 200 times.

    7)  Electrical Properties

a) Insulation Resistance: more than 1,000 Mohm;
b) No Spark-over and No Flying Arc under 1,000 v/min;
c) Termination Resistance: less than 3 mohm under normal atmospheric condition;
d) Total Resistance: less than 10 mohm under normal atmospheric condition.
