2. Vertical Protection Block & Horizontal Testing Block
a) Insulation Resistance:
The resistance between any two disconnected terminals, and between any terminal and fixed metal part is more than 10000Mohm;
b) There are no break-down and spark-discharge between any two disconnected terminals, and between any terminal and fixed metal part under 2000V, 45 ¨C 60Hz AC, lasting for 60 seconds;
c) Contact Resistance:
- between terminal and cable conductor at the V-slot: £ 2mohm;
- between terminals of Vertical Protection Block and Protection Module: £ 5mohm;
d) Suitable Wire:
Single plastic insulation wire with the conductor diameter: 0.32mm ¨C 0.70mm, with the outer diameter (including insulator) : £ 1.40mm.
e) IDC Force:
- insertion force : < 3.0kg;
- pull-off force : ³ 2.5kg (vertical to V-slot);
- contact pressure between terminals of Vertical Protection Block and Protection Module: > 50g;
- reliable re-termination of conductor: ³ 200 times.
3. Protection Module:
a) DC break-down voltage: Udc = 230 +30/-40V;
b) Impulsive break-down voltage: Umax £ 800V ( at the voltage rising rate: 1000V/m s );
c) Protection Capability against Lightning:
keeping normal under impulsive voltage: 4kV, 10/700m s, 10 times with the interval 60 seconds, opposite electrodes for neighbouring two times;
d) Protection Capability against Induction of Power Lines:
keeping normal under Uac(max) = 650Vr.m.s, f = 50Hz, lasting for 500ms each time, total 5 times with interval of 60 seconds;
e) Protection Capability against Contact with Power Lines:
no fire, no burning under voltage Uac(max) = 220Vr.m.s, f = 50Hz, lasting for 15 minutes;
f) Fail-Safe Protection:
The line a or line b in circuit will earth within 15 seconds when discharge current reaches 2.5A in arrestors;g) Normal Resistance : < 22 ohm; Difference between line a and line b : < 2 ohm;
