6.  Insertion Tool For IDC Termination Module

　

1)   Insertion Tool  DX-1

Both termination and trimming of wires in the IDC termination modules can be done simultaneously by one punch. The hook at one side of the insertion tool is used for removal of terminated wires from the module slot, and the blade at the other side is used for removal of modules from back mount frame.

The suitable wires are as follows:

Diameter of copper wires: 0.4mm ~ 0.7mm
External diameter of plastic conductive wires: 0.7mm ~ 1.6mm

　

2)   Insertion Tool  DX-2

This type of insertion tool is equipped with trim lock. When termination, trimming of the wire or not can be freely optioned by setting the trim lock at the back position or front position.

Other details are the same as those of the insertion tool type DX-1.

　

3)   Insertion Tool  DX-3

This type of insertion tool is disposable type. It is used for termination of wire but it has no wire-trimming function.
